Lou Johnson

Lou Johnson is co-founder and director of Key People Literary Management after a 30-year career working globally with hundreds of authors, brands, and businesses. She has been Managing Director of Simon and Schuster, Publishing Director of Murdoch Books, Chief Strategy Officer for Mango Publishing Group, started her own disruptive publishing house, The Author People, and has worked with Allen & Unwin, Random House, and the ABC. Along the way, Lou has chaired and participated in numerous industry working groups, was a board member of The Stella Prize, and has worked with names such as Lynda La Plante, Jackie Collins, Michael Crawford, Philipa Gregory, Pamela Stephenson, Ian Thorpe, Posie Grahame Evans, Bill Granger, Ronni Kahn, Neil Perry, Gloria Steinem and championing books that became bestsellers like The Blue Day Book, Wild Swans, The Alchemist, Still Alice, The Kite Runner.
