Michelle Ford Eriksson MBE

 

Michelle Ford Eriksson MBE was an Olympic gold and bronze medallist in swimming at the Moscow Olympics in 1980, and dual world record holder. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a master’s degree in Sports Psychology and a bachelor’s degree in business communication. She has held directorships of the Australian Sports Commission, Australian Sports Foundation, and Swimming Australia. Michelle was a member of the first IOC Athletes Commission, Australia’s first member of this important Commission, alongside the current IOC President, Thomas Bach, and Lord Sebastian Coe, President of World Athletics. Originally from Sydney, Michelle lives in Switzerland and Australia. Her autobiography Turning the Tide (2024) is written with Craig Lord.
